Intelligent Grids & Advanced Metering Seminar
8 - 9 May 2010
The first seminar of Intelligent Grids & Advanced Metering in Iran is organized on 8 & 9 May 2010. Iran Energy Efficiency Organization (SABA) has already started the pilot project of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and it is scheduled during 7 years (up to year 2016) to manage more than 90% of the national grid s load within this metering system.
The seminar is being opened by Dr. Mahmoud Fotuhi, the chairman of electrical engineering faculty in Sharif University of Technology and Mr. Gholamreza Khoshkholgh, distribution coordination deputy manager of TAVANIR. Scientific sessions are being held by Dr. Mohammad Shahidehpour, the Bodine chair professor and chairman in the electrical and computer engineering (ECE) department at Illinois Institute of technology (IIT) and Dr. Ebrahim Vahedi, the operations technology manager of British Colombia Transmission Corporation (BCTC).
This seminar is organized to introduce AMI to the managers and experts of TAVANIR, Iran Grid Management Co, Regional Electric Companies, Electric Power Distribution Companies, Consulting Engineering Companies, Contractors, Manufacturers and University Professors & Students.
